PROBLEMS is the subversive dance music project of Nebraska’s Darren Keen. He has been making solo computer music since 2003 with various projects including The Show is the Rainbow and Touch People.

After endless years of living self-destructively and touring nonstop, PROBLEMS is learning about self-love and self-care, which has led him to this project. With actual focus and intent, he has been able to create dance floor ready tunes with interesting, sacred melodies and text to speech vocals.

With his upcoming releases on House of Feelings, Orange Milk Records, and Orb Tapes, PROBLEMS has been pounding the pavement and touring consistently, playing with the likes of Dan Deacon, Lightning Bolt, FM (Black Dice) and Vision Video, Plack Blague, Schaeffer The Darklord, and Hide, along with electronic shows in support of UZ, Sumthin Sumthin, Jantsen and others.

This duality between punk/noise royalty and new electronic artists has brought him to “Starting Over (feat. Kindora)." Kindora’s smooth, silky vocals sit atop a maximalist disco palette that explodes with ideas but always keeps the energy tied to the kick and moving forward. It’s a neo-classic take on the form, but with an edge and a sense of humor that is intensely refreshing amidst today’s scene.
